Shrink Discs are simple but high-force shaft-to-hub connections that eliminate failure-prone keyed connections - making them a great choice for a large variety of light- and heavy-duty applications.
Once you have placed the shrink disc over the hub and shaft you want to join, simply tighten the locking screws to the specified torque. As the thrust rings are being pulled together over one or more tapers, the clamping surface is pressed onto the hub. A frictional shaft-hub connection is established.
